“In 1998, this song had very different lyrics and was part of another project I was doing with Rob McDaniel & Lorin Lemme. Lorin had these incredible drum parts, and as RELESSER adopted the song, we kept the drums as they were. In the Summer of 2012, I rewrote the lyrics, redemo’d the song, and then played it for Andy Whitten and Chris Glover to try to inspire them to join RELESSER. A couple of electronic parts added later and we have the song appearing on this album. It’s been an audience pleaser at shows. It really blew me away that a song that old could still have a pull today. The lyrics are based on the idea that the devil is not anti-religion. He is anti-Christ. He has devised so many religions to blind people of the Truth of God’s Gospel.” - Asche
