“We were actually writing the end of the album when Asche had an idea for creating “bookends.” We agreed that it was important to give the listener a strong feeling they had arrived back home at the end of the album. Introducing the music themes present in the last song into the first song was an effective way of getting that feeling. The term Invocation is commonly used in traditional church services to invite the Spirit of God to be present among the people gathered. Our goal is exactly the same here with this song.” – Tyler Moberly
